Anita Grewal is a British-Indian-Australian artist whose photography explores the dynamic tension between chaos and order. With a background in mathematics and education, her work balances logical structures with artistic intuition. Having lived and worked in England, India, Colombia, the United States, and Germany, Anita’s diverse experiences inform her creative approach. She completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Australian National University (ANU) in 2017.
In 2016, a pivotal moment came when Anita was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), prompting a shift to a more sedate, studio-based practice that allows her to manage her condition. Settling in Perth, Australia, with her partner Marco in 2018, she has continued to experiment and evolve her artistic practice.
Working across both analogue and digital mediums, Anita creates geometric compositions inspired by science fiction and colour field artists.  Her art invites viewers to reflect on the interplay between motion and stillness, and colour and form.
