Anita Grewal is a Perth-based visual artist working primarily in gouache on watercolour paper. She creates abstract geometric compositions in which colour relationships produce illusions of transparency, depth and movement.
Her work draws on an interest in colour theory, science fiction, Indian architecture, textile design and miniature painting traditions.
Before focusing fully on her studio practice, Anita worked internationally as a mathematics teacher across England, India, Colombia, the United States and Germany, settling in Perth, Australia, in 2018.
